Marble Shooter puts you inside an Aztec temple, aiming at a line of colored marbles crawling down a path. Match them and clear the line before it hits the skull pit.

Adventure or Survive: Pick Your Mode

Adventure Mode walks you through the temple one stage at a time, and each stage is tougher than the last. Your first job is to keep shooting until the yellow bar is full, since that’s what shuts off the spawning of new marbles. Thereafter, finish off whatever is still crawling along the track. Win a stage and new tracks and maps open up.

Survive Mode throws a thicker stream of marbles at you across 20 maps that are ready to play. How well you do decides your rank, and the ladder runs Rabbit, Eagle, Jaguar, and Sun God. If chasing a higher rank sounds fun, this is where you’ll spend most of your time.

Marble Shooter: Beat the Chain to the Skull Pit

Lining Up Three of a Kind

The basic match-3 rule is simple. Land a marble next to two or more of its own color, and the group pops. Occasionally the hole it leaves joins the two loose ends of the marble chain, and if the colors there match, another group pops as well. The cascades are the most enjoyable aspect of the game.

Two things are worth remembering. You carry a spare marble, and a right click trades it for the one in your hand. And if your shot matches a color sitting at the exposed end, the rest of the chain gets yanked backward and you pick up bonus points.

Controls

  • Mouse: Turns the cat cauldron shooter toward your target
  • Left click: Fires
  • Right-click: Switches to your spare marble
  • Esc / Menu: Pauses

How to play Marble Shooter

Strategies That Help

Fill the yellow bar before anything else. Once new marbles stop appearing, the pressure drops and the cleanup is far calmer.

Read the colors before you fire. A match at the exposed end can drag the chain back, so it’s often worth holding your shot for a moment.

Use the spare marble freely. If the one in your hand doesn’t fit anywhere, swap it instead of firing it for nothing.

Keep power-ups for emergencies. Accuracy draws a laser guide, Slow Down makes the chain crawl for a short while, Backwards sends it the other way, and Bomb wipes out the marbles around the impact, whatever their color. They matter most when the chain is nearly at the pit.

Think twice about Golden Coins. Threading a shot through a corner gap earns a bonus, but if the chain is closing in, it isn’t worth the risk.

Final Words

The rolling marbles keep inching toward the golden skull pit while your shooter does the only thing it can: turn and fire. A successful match buys you a little breathing room, and a miss shrinks it. After a few runs you’ll feel the rhythm and know when to swap and when to hit a power-up. And if you ever want to trade marble tracks for open roads, give Wheelie Spooky a try, where you ride a motorbike through haunted roads and keep your balance to collect coins.
