A polar bear and an alligator—which one is bigger, and by how much? It sounds simple, but when you actually have to drag and resize the image to match the real-life scale, you might be surprised by how far off your guess is. That is precisely the experience Size It Up offers.
Size It Up is a daily visual size-estimation game from Magnitudle. Each session consists of five comparison rounds. In each round, you are presented with a reference object of a known size and a second object that you must manually enlarge or shrink until it matches the real-world scale. Once you’re satisfied, lock in your answer to see how close you got.
The challenges go beyond just animals. You might compare a blue whale to the Eiffel Tower, a building to a car, or any pair of objects that makes you pause and think carefully before dragging your mouse. In addition to the original game, Magnitudle offers two themed versions: Pop Culture for those who enjoy comparing the sizes of famous characters and Geography for those who want to test their knowledge of countries, cities, lakes, and natural wonders.
Step 1: Observe the reference object
Each round features a standard object with a fixed, known size. Use the reference object as your benchmark for comparing the other object.
Step 2: Examine the object to be estimated
Next to the reference object is a mystery object; its current size is incorrect. Your task is to adjust it to the correct scale relative to the reference object.
Step 3: Drag to resize
Drag the mystery object to enlarge or shrink it. If you can't see well, zoom in or out to better see the size difference.
Step 4: Lock in your answer
Lock in your answer for that round once you're happy with the scale.
Step 5: View results
The game will show how close your guess was to the actual size. The closer you are to reality, the higher your score. Each round awards a maximum of 100 points.
Step 6: Complete all five rounds
Continue until you have finished all five comparison rounds for the day. The maximum total score for a full game is 500.
