Popslime is a top-down action game with idle and incremental elements. A horde of horned slimes floods a sunny forest, and all you have is a hooded archer, a glowing cursor, and about ten seconds to clear the field. The more slimes you eliminate, the greater the amount of gold and loot you acquire for upgrades, and each subsequent run becomes increasingly challenging.
What makes it fun is that every upgrade shows up on screen right away. Buy more arrows and more arrows will fly. Unlock towers and they sprout across the field. Your damage climbs from single digits to quadrillions, so getting stronger feels obvious after every run.
1. Move your cursor. Use the mouse on the desktop, or drag your finger on a touch screen. The ring around your cursor pops any slime it touches, so sweep it across the whole field instead of leaving it in one spot.
2. Let your team do the rest. You never aim or press an attack button. The archer, towers, and skills fire on their own, and each skill’s cooldown is shown on its slot.
3. Collect gold and loot. Your first run lasts only about ten seconds. Defeat enough monsters and the next stage opens, and some stages also give a skull reward.
4. Spend it after the run. Put your gold into the upgrade tree, then equip runes, level up gems, and improve the Archer’s abilities.
5. Run again. Every upgrade makes your runs longer and clears more slimes. Keep repeating the cycle to climb stages, fight bosses, and move up the leaderboard.
There are plenty of slime types: the common orange ones, Shiny variants, Armored slimes, and the huge Slime Overlord. You’ll also run into special targets like treasure chests, ores, and a Ghost Overlord that appears when it’s called.
While you play, bounties and area marks add extra targets and rewards. Every hit comes with floating numbers, flying coins, and sparks, so the screen never stays quiet.

Popslime has 40 stages. To open the next one, you need to defeat enough monsters in a single run. Later stages are tougher, but they also pay out more gold.
A few checkpoints to aim for: stage 2 needs 11 monsters, stage 5 needs 40, stage 10 needs 180, stage 20 needs 580, stage 30 needs 790, and stage 40 needs 1,000. Every one of these checkpoints drops a skull reward.
The Automator has eight options, from replaying runs to multiplying damage and gold while you’re AFK. You can leave the game running when you’re busy, then come back and spend everything it earned.
The game has a hand-drawn cartoon style with thick dark outlines, saturated colors, and chubby characters. The arena is a sunny green forest with a stone well in the middle, and the interface has a warm parchment-and-wood feel. The sound is a mix of cheerful cymbals and hit effects over a gentle looping track.
The pacing works well too: ten seconds of chaos, then a calm shopping screen where your numbers jump.
Popslime is all about watching a tiny cursor turn into a screen-clearing machine, with your damage numbers skyrocketing after every run. When you want something calmer, try Shady Cats, where one sneaky shadow copies every move your cat makes.
