Soyjak Siege is a browser-based roguelike auto-shooter where you play as Chudd Howard. A stubborn, uncompromising internet character, he battles his way through 16 increasingly chaotic worlds to destroy Dr. Soystein and his meme army.
Chudd Howard has an MS Paint-style face, with scribbled lines, making him look like he was drawn without trying. He automatically shoots. Enemies swarm from all directions; your job is simply to move, dodge, and choose the right upgrades as you level up.
Most auto-shooters give you healing potions. Or healing zones. Soyjak Siege gives you bugs. When you kill enemies, especially the fast-moving Bug Burger Reviewer, they drop small bugs on the ground. Walk over them to heal. It sounds illogical, and it really is illogical, but it creates a gameplay loop that most games in the genre entirely ignore: you're never truly safe standing still. In Soyjak Siege, healing requires you to actively hunt specific types of enemies. This means you constantly have to decide whether to charge into the crowd to pick up blood. Will you choose to play it safe or accept slow bleeding? This tension is what makes the game work. The Aesthetic meme is what lures players in. The bug mechanism is what keeps them playing.

The world selection screen displays locations such as Soyburbia, Swedentown, The Mines, Daycare, Mental Asylum, and Soystein's Office. Each place has escalating difficulty and new enemy patterns.
The early worlds guide you slowly. By the time you arrive in Mental Asoylum, the screen is packed with bullets and the margin of error is almost zero. The game doesn't increase difficulty randomly; it builds purposefully, world after world, until you realise the leisurely stroll in Soyburbia has nothing to do with what you're facing now.
Don't hoard consumables.
Prioritise early AoE spells. Fast enemies will flank you before your dodge skills can take effect. Area-of-effect damage buys you breathing room.
Build towards mobility and short-range combat. High movement speed combined with close-range weapons allows you to kite large groups without being surrounded. This is the most forgiving synergy for beginners.
Learn Chudd's hitbox. The actual damage area is concentrated in a small point on the character model. Once you've mastered that, dodging through dense fire becomes achievable.
If you dropped Vampire Survivors because it felt too passive, Soyjak Siege adds enough active decision-making elements, especially around the bug-based healing circle. If you're immersed in internet culture and recognise the memes, there's an added layer of fun watching these characters tear each other apart across 16 increasingly chaotic worlds.
Soyjak Siege was released by Azgames on June 8, 2026. Azgames consistently releases great games like Birdie Bop and Duo Defense every week. But among their recent releases, their latest title, Soyjak Siege, impressed me the most. Soyjak Siege's memes and graphics almost made me close the tab immediately. But I told myself, "Just try one game!". Forty minutes later, I was still alive on floor 6, surrounded by a swarm of Funky-Pop Collectors, desperately hunting for a bug to eat before my health dropped to zero. The bug-eating mechanic is completely new; it adds a layer of tension that most games in the genre entirely ignore. If you get past the first 10 minutes, you'll find a surprisingly deep auto-shooter underneath.
Just be ready to eat bugs. Lots of bugs. Try Soyjak Siege and let me know what you think!
